All You Need To Know About A 77G MT-04 Motorcycle Blind Spot Monitor

motorcycle blind spot monitorMotorcycles are easy to ride and operate. Therefore, in the advanced world, they are the new way to go. However, just like cars, motorcycle driving also poses threats to the rider and more serious threats, to be honest. Motorbikes have several blind spots, the same as every other vehicle on the road. It’s impossible for the rider to monitor all areas, especially with a helmet. Thus, they originate collision threats.

Now to deal with the problem, we came up with a solution to monitor every no zone of the bike. The 77G MT-04 motorcycle blind spot monitor makes it easy for the rider to look out for risks and save the motorbike from unintentional crashes.

Why Do We Need A Motorcycle Blind Spot Monitor? What Are The Blind Spots Of A Motorbike?

All the riders attempt to ensure the safety of their motorcycles. For that purpose, they must be aware of their surroundings. The blind spots of a motorbike make it impossible for the rider to monitor the road, especially the rear and some portions of adjacent lanes. They always keep riders from seeing what’s going on around them,So, installing the motorcycle blind spot monitor becomes crucial. These systems detect and alert any moving object in the risk area. Therefore, it eliminates the risks of merging into other vehicles while turning or changing lanes.

Riders must wear helmets for their utmost safety. However, this helmet blocks most of the rider’s vision. Hence, the riders face difficulty in monitoring the blind spots. Rear right and rear left are the main blind spots of a motorbike. Side mirrors can solve the problem to some extent here. Yet, even side mirrors can miss some of the areas that could be hazardous for the motorbike. Moreover, the direct rear portion of a bike is also a complete no-zone for the objects. For that reason, the blind spot system for motorcycles has become a basic necessity.

What Is A 77G MT-04 Motorcycle Blind Spot Monitor?

Our 77G MT-04 motorcycle blind spot monitor actively detects the target objects and warns the rider about them. Our system’s motorcycle blind spot sensor works on a higher frequency band. Working Of A 77G MT-04 Motorcycle Blind Spot Monitor:

Our 77G MT-04 motorcycle blind spot monitor has two main components; A microwave millimeter wave radar to detect the target object and two warning lights for indication.

The radar emits microwave signals. Any moving object in the detection area interferes with the signals, thus indicating their presence. Another feature of the radar is to accurately measure the object’s speed, angle, and relative displacement. Once the waves collide with the target, they bounce back towards the radar. So, Millimeter wave radar receives the signals and accurately measures the speed and other statistics about the object.

After the accurate detection and measurement, the system starts the warning procedure. With the respective blind spot indicator, the system warns the rider about the relevant rear side.

What Are The Functions Of A 77G MT-04 Motorcycle Blind Spot Monitor

Every blind spot system has its distinctive features. These features make it more unique than any similar product. Our 77G MT-04 motorcycle blind spot monitor also has some premium features. For that reason, it stands out in the crowd of contenders. These features provide exceptional value to motorcycle riders and ensure their safety. Some of these functions are as follows:

  1. Product Self Inspection:

Whenever the motorbiker turns on the motorcycle, the system checks itself. It makes sure whether the motorcycle blind spot monitor is working correctly or not.

After the equipment powers on, the left and right indicators flash 3 times, respectively. It indicates that the system is functioning properly without any errors.

The indicator light will turn on if there is a target object in the blind area when the motorbike speed is more than 15km/h.

  1. Blind Area Monitoring Function- BSD:

In this feature, the motorcycle blind spot monitor uses an early warning strategy to warn the rider. The system can easily detect passive overtaking objects and vehicles following you at the same speed.

  • In this mode, the system starts at a speed greater than 15km/h
  • The horizontal range of early warning is 0.6m ≤ X ≤ 4.4m,-4.4m ≤ x ≤ -0.6m.
  • The longitudinal early warning range can be different for different speed modes. For low-speed mode, it is 6m ≤ Y ≤ 15m. And 15m ≤ Y ≤ 50m for high-speed mode.
  • In the early warning mode of BSD, the warning light turns on any passive overtaking or vehicle with the same speed entering the alarm area.
  1. Parallel Auxillary Approach Early Warning Function- LCA:

  • This feature of the motorcycle blind spot monitor aids the rider in safely changing lanes on a busy road.
  • In low-speed mode, the system will start at a speed of 0 ≤ V ≤ 25Km/h (0 to 25km/h)
  • In mode, the system starts at a speed of 25 ≤ V ≤ 120Km/h (25 to 120km/h)
  • The horizontal detection area of the early warning mode of LCA is 1m ≤ X ≤ 4.4m, -4.4m ≤ X ≤ -1m.
  • The vertical detection area of the early warning mode of LCA is 6m ≤ Y ≤ 15m at low-speed mode. In comparison, it is 6m ≤ Y ≤ 50m for high-speed mode.
  • In a parallel auxiliary approach, the system adopts an early warning strategy. For that reason, it alerts the rider when the approaching time is ≤4.0s. The light turns on, giving the rider enough time to react.
  1. Rear Collision Warning Function- RCW:

The motorcycle blind spot monitor RCW alerts the rider early about the vehicles approaching rapidly from the back. It warns the rider using both indicator lights.

  • The system starting speed can vary depending on speed modes. For low-speed mode starting speed range is 0 ≤ V ≤ 25Km/h. However, the speed range for high-speed mode is 25 ≤ V ≤ 120Km/h.
  • The horizontal range of early warning RCW is 0m ≤ X ≤ 1m, -1m ≤ X ≤ 0m.
  • The longitudinal warning range for low-speed mode is 0m ≤ Y ≤ 15m. Although for high-speed mode, it jumps to 0m ≤ Y ≤ 50m.
  • In RCW, the motorcycle blind spot monitor system adopts the special RCW early warning strategy. If the vehicles are approaching rapidly from the back, the collision early-warning time is ≤3.0s. Both; left and right warning lights flash in RCW warning strategy to warn the rider.

What Are The Problems That The Owner Of A 77G MT-04 Motorcycle Blind Spot Monitor Can Face?

While operating the 77G MT-04 motorcycle blind spot monitor, an owner can face several problems. If you know the cause of errors, you can minimize the chance of their reoccurrence. Moreover, it also helps in the easy fixing of these problems.

  • One of the faults is the wrong LED light blinking. The left/right LED indicators start indicating the opposite target warning. This error can originate if the rider installs the warning lights opposite to the oneother. Moreover, mounting the radar in the reverse direction can cause this problem in your motorcycle blind spot monitor system. Check the signs of left and right warning lights and the radar surface for accurate installation to solve the issue.
  • Another error the owner can face is the always-on and off state of lights after power-on. It can be due to the wiring harness problem or LED lamp damage. To solve the problem, inspect the wiring harness plugging. If the fault remains in the system, replace the warning LED lamps.
